What to Expect With Invisalign Treatment
To create your custom clear aligners, we’ll start by taking digital impressions of your teeth using an intraoral scanner that is capable of capturing 3D images. These detailed images will then be sent over to the Invisalign lab where technicians there will produce your very own series of aligners.Once back in our Jackson dental office, the aligners will be given to you with a protective case and general instructions. The first set that you put on will feel tight and uncomfortable but this is normal. The feeling should go away after a day or so. Each aligner set, including the first, will move your teeth gradually for a few weeks before you switch to the next.Our dentists ask that you wear each set of aligners in your series at least 22-23 hours a day to ensure proper progress is made. That means in the few hours when you are not eating, drinking, or brushing and flossing your teeth, the aligners are in your mouth.
